I bought VF4: Evo a few days ago. Easily on of the best $20 purchases I've ever made. The Quest mode rocks and I love the VF1 10th Anniversary game. I highly recommend this game to anyone with a PS2.

I agree, I just purchased VF4:Evo the other day, awesome game. I have a question though, (I'm not to far in the quest mode, only to the south bay area, only 4th Dan right now with Sarah. )
What do Orbs do?
I looked all through the guide book, no help. Also, do the items you collect/buy do anything? I'm sure I'm missing out on a lot of the game, and I feel like a total dumbass, as I probably should. I have a white, gold, and silver orb, and a bunch of necklaces/earings for Sarah Bryant.
So, anyone want to tell me how I can improve my VF4: Evo experience?

yeh, playing side by side..imo SC2 gets the vote, and that's not even with the three extra characters!

my big question is... wheres the AI on VF4 Evo?

unless you unlock it, then this game has compromised itself with less content, big better graphics.

I dont mind it, as they have done a lot with Evo, there's extra moves as well as some amazing touches with some of the stages.. snow is thicker, the water is deeper and the Quest mode is very playable..nice work!

just a lil gutted with the lack of the AI mode...

all i have to say...is if you think the game is not deep enough...as far as fighting moves and technique goes....take about 5 hours a day to do the training mode and figure out all the moves for one character until you can perform all of them flawlessly.

I have done that with lei....the shaolin monk...he is beyond good. By far my favorite character in any fighting game.

In Quest mode I'm up to 3rd Dan with Pai. Oh, my sweet, Pai. She rocks. I love her fighting style. The 3 button gameplay in VF4: Evo is brilliant. I'm not a hardcore fighing fan, yet I still feel like a pro with being able to pull off sweet combos thanks to the genius controls. None of this back, back, forward, forward circle mess to make my character slap my opponent silly. Just mixing punches and kicks with the control pad brings about amazing satisfaction.

I played this game for nearly 4 hours today. The beauty of this game is, the more you play, the bette you become. And fighting against real AI players is awesome. Fighing tougher AI forced me to use different moves to exploit my foe's weaknesses. Oh man, what a game. I'm afraid I may like this more than SCII and I'm picking that up tomorrow.

I'm at 3rd dan with Lei.....and I am at 1st dan with brad burns...who is an amazing fighter...I actually like him more than lei...

Muay Thai is what I'm going to start training in, and I didn't even know he was muay thai till i fought him in quest mode...so i used him and i am way better with him than i am with lei.

if you haven't tried brad out...try him.
