Default Next Gen First Party Comparison: Sony Vs Nintenod!!

OK, i get a little tired of hearing about how no one can compete with nintendo when it comes to first party games. You hear this alot from most publications and most media people themselves. But look at these games and tell me that sony doesn't come close to duplicating nintendo.

Sonys First Party PS2 Titles:

The Getaway
Dark Cloud 2
Socom
Frequency
Gran Turismo 3
War Of The Monsters
Ratchet & Clank
Dark Cloud
Jak & Daxter
ATV Off Road Fury
Twisted Metal Black
Sly Cooper
The Mark Of Kri
ICO
Hot Shots Golf Three
Jet X20
Wild Arms 3
Primal
My Street
Gran Turismo 4
Rise To Honor
Amplitude
Arc Of The Lad: Twilight Of The Spirits

Nintendo's First Party GC Lineup:

Metroid Prime
Wind Waker
Wario World
Super Mario Sunshine
Smash Brothers Melee
1080 Avalanche
Eternal Darkness
Star Fox Adventures
Mario Party 4
Luigis Mansion
Pikmin
Cubivore
Mario Kart
Mario Tennis
Wave Race
New Mario
Pikmin 2

They're both fairly equal, but nothing compared to what Nintendo or Sega has already done in the past...

Yeah, Sony has really turned their first party development around, except for 989

I would say they are just about equal just because of nintendo's Metroid Prime, Zelda, and MArio Kart are all awesome games.

I like Sony several times better than Nintendo as a first party developer. Only a few games by Nintendo still interest me. I personally think that Sony has several of the best Japanese, European, and American games. I could even say that Sony is my second favorite developer after Squaresoft. The best part is that Sony only charges $40 for their games. I'm going to continue filling my PS2 collection with SCEA and SCEI games.

Yeah well, Sony couldn't compare to Nintendo or Sega's past...they weren't around yet.

As for Sony vs. Nintendo now, the winner is easily Sony. If you want my reasons why just say so - I'll be glad to give you folks the lowdown. Nintendo doesn't even hold a candle to Sony's 1st party games in this generation.

Sega still would be the best first party developer if they had a system but now it's Sony. Sony has produced five times the amount of games Nintendo has. Plus, most of Son'y games are high quality now. Nintendo can still make some good games, it's just that their slow on bringing titles out.

The problem with NGC is that their great games are few and far between. Animal Crossing, Metroid Prime, Zelda, Mario Sunshine, etc. All of the nintendo's best games are first party. They need more third party support because even the best First Party developing won't help if you don't have the third party support *COUGH* Sega *COUGH*

And even though GC's games are far and between, the most its games are, are nothing short of good or average.
