Sony owns the developers that make their 1st party games, the only exception being Level-5 (Dark Cloud 1 & 2).

Oh, Insomniac isn't 2nd party to Sony. I don't know if Harmonix (GREAT developer) and Sucker Punch are owned by Sony or if their games are just being published by Sony.

Polyphony, I'm not sure if they're owned by Sony or if they're just under contract.

Insomniac says they'll never develop a game unless it's for the PS2. Harmonix is owned by Sony. Polyphony has been owned by Sony ever since Motor Toon Grand Prix was announced for the PSX in 1997. Sucker Punch isn't owned by Sony.

You know, with Insomniac on such good terms with Sony, why doesn't Sony just buy them? Kinda like how Singletrac was always developing stuff for PSX.

Harmonix is directly owned by Sony? Good move by them. I love their music games

Out of curiosity, I know Sony now owns: Incog. Inc, Polyphony, Naughty Dog, Harmonix, Cambridge Studios, Studio Liverpool, 989 Studios, Team Soho, SCEA San Diego Studios (Mark of Kri).... anything else?

What about Clap Hanz, makers of Hot Shots Golf (which I don't see for GH anywhere so I don't get what Sony is talking about there)? What about Zipper Interactive (I think that's what they're called... I have no idea what the team behind SOCOM is named)? Any other ones besides the ones I've mentioned?

Because I'm sick of people saying that Sony only has Incog. and Naughty Dog and they just publish any other game, and this kinda info could prove useful to shove in their faces really.

I think Sonys first party is far better than Nintendo but that is simply because I can't stand Mario/Zelda and they make up a large percentage of 'N's gaming releases.

I really don't care who develops or publishes better games. All I care about is how good the games are no matter who's making them.

If you ask me, most of those games suck. Like all video game systems, the majority of the games are worthless. The nintendo list has metroid prime, but other than that it's just a bunch of little kid games. As for the Sony list, other than Socom, Frequency, and Amplitude (which from what I've read is going to beat Frequency by a mile) all those games suck. Socom is amazing, and I can't wait for Amplitude.

If your telling the truth, than why do you own a videogame system.

Anyway, I find that the majority of games are actually pretty good when you play them. Most PS2 games are not as bad as a few games I played on X-Box.
