Everyone should check out the Half-Life 2 movie they have over at FilePlanet. You have to wait in line and shit, but it's so worth it. It's 583 megs and it 23 minutes long. The movie is really high resolution, and it's the same one they played at E3. I watched it and it's amazing. I have to go buy a new computer when that comes out. My computer could barely play the video . Anyways, everyone with a lot of bandwidth should go check it out, it's amazing.

Downloading now. I just finished Half Life on the PS2 about 2 weeks ago. I have no clue why I have been putting this game off since it came out. I played the demo on a OPM disk like 2 years ago.... (I think) and it rocked. As soon as I started this game......5 hour game sessions. I didn't want to put down my controller (I beat the game in 4 days, 5 hour sessions per day)

When I saw that screenshot of Half Life 2 (You know the one....80 foot tall MOFO!!!) I knew that either I had to get an X-Box or a PC that can hadle that game. The really cool thing is that I picked up a copy of Maximum PC (Aug issue, the one with Half Life 2: Can your PC handle it??) And they have a great chart where it shows what 5 diff types of video cards can do with the game.

My new vid-card will support the second highest requirements for it. (Some issues with real dynamic shadows, Displacement Maps, Radiosity based Specular Bump-mapping will not work.....plus I can't believe I just typed all that....I have no F'n clue what it means!!!! )

But, it's rated that an video card with DirectX8 in it, will produce some good shit (That is if you got the power and RAM to back-it up...)

So, this game is mine on the PC, I will have a heart-attack when I see that MOFO 80 foot tall alien doing it's thing in realtime...

It took 7min to d/l that file!!!!! WOOOT!!!!!!

my opinions on a console version are that the PS2 SHOULD NOT GET THIS GAME!!!!

I really really hope to god that we get it for the PS3! ok, its a few years off, but how many years has it been since Half Life 1 came out on PC to the conversion to the PS2?

anyway, the reason being that imo this game is amazing, a true piece of art, and if it came out on PS2, they would have to cut corners.. and it probably wouldnt be shit, but I dont think it would be as great as what we're seeing on the video.

The Xbox are getting it for sure, but I think that the Xbox will even be able to make this game look as good as it does.
