.hack: infection
im thinking of expanding my gaming genre. this rpg looks interesting to me. more than xenosaga. anyone here play it? good, bad? anything?
maybe a better question would be: what would u recomend to someone who never really sat down and played an rpg?

It's not bad, .Hack is a different type of rpg. It's not turn based. .Hack has a batter system similar to Zelda. It's all real time.

You've never sat down and played an RPG before. Man, I've played through 80 RPG games.
  Anyway, I haven't been able to try it but I'm looking into buying the game also. I've heard that it's like an online RPG game played offline. The battles are in real time. The only thing that worries me about the game is about the dungeons. I hope it's not a repitive dungeon explorer. I know that Gamefaqs.com has had several people there who have reviewed the game and played it.

Ive got the game, but i actually havn't put to much time into it. The theory behind .Hack was to be able to play an MMORPG, but offline. You guys do also know there are 4 more games in the .Hack series being released this year.

im mainly interested in a game that will last me longer than a weekend. .hack looked like it might be the mostinteresting, but i know nothing about rpgs.

if you rush through .hack, you can beat it in 5 hours but normally its a 15 hour game.
im guessing the game isnt that long because it spans from i think 4 other games. |
