Default but seriously... why no DOA for PS2?

I thought I could hold it in....

I thought I could stare it in the face and never blink.....

I have failed.

WHY oh WHY... is DOA not on the PS2? Namco have proved that you can have amazing graphics in a fighter, VF4 Evo has proved that it can handle an amazing amount of depth.

both games have proved that fighting games on the PS2 out sell any fighting game on the Xbox.

so why don't we have DOA3? let alone DOA-online.

well, it cant be a power thing, as that was the old excuse and it was BS.

so is it $$$$ from M$? or did Team Ninja think that DOA2 was just plain awful?

why oh why oh why....

does anyone know?

or at least have an amusing theory?

Maybe it's because everyone at Sony are prudish, afterall, they didn't allow BMX;XXX to be released on the PS2 without sever edits to the FMV.

I think we should suggest that all the female characters wear boiler suits? Maybe then they'd grant a release?

Team Ninja hates weaker consoles. And they like money.

Who cares? DOA 2: HC = DOA3 lite.

I'm a tad pissed because PS2 owners will never play Ninja Gaiden. But, meh. Sony has dozens of other franchises to not give a shit about Team Ninja's efforts.

Ninja Gaiden does like good graphically but I don't know how the gameplay will actually turn out. From what I know, Team Ninja is nothing else but graphic nuts. The head of Team Ninja, TI, absolutely hates Sony and the PS2 and never wants to develop for it. I consider it no biggie since he really isn't a very good developer. DOAXVB was the most overhyped game ever.

yeh....

I guess....

I just put all those good memories of DOA2 to bed years ago, and ive just been looking at screen shots and stuff on DOAnline, and im green!

But saying that, the next Virtura fighter game will be online (so they say).. and we all know its a better game, no competition.
so I guess I should just be thankful.

thing is, if Team Ninja are so money hungry, you would of thought that they would put their hatred of PS2 aside and just make DOAnline for Sony too. as Virtua fighter 4 in the first week outsold the total number of DOA3 sold to date.

but I guess if you just cant programme for a console, maybe its better not to even try. ah well.. their loss.

I wonder if they will crawl back once the PS3 is out? I reckon they probably wont..

Itagaki is an idiot. He can stick to any consoles he wants, it doesn't make his games any better.

I'm kinda mad he actually made Ninja Gaiden merge with DOA's "storyline"... Hey, sir, you didn't even work on the originals, and you're already screwing up the storyline thanks!

I don't know about the game myself either, haven't really read any gameplay impressions or whatsoever. I'll wait until the reviews.

Yeah, some other DOA character will be Ryu's assistant or something. I read that last week. And the game is set in between DOA contests... As a side-job for Ryu.

Talk about a cameo turned wrong.

Ayane is in Ninja Gaiden. The story takes place before the events of the first Dead or Alive game -- two years before. Ayane at that time was 14 years-old, which should cause problems with the ESRB. (laughs) But since at that time she's not quite a ninja master yet, she serves as a messenger for Hayabusa. Actually she's a messenger to Hayabusa. She is part of the Mugen Tenshi Ryu society, and serving them, serves as a messenger to Hayabusa for what is to come.
Ok I was a little wrong, but still.
