Default Splinter Cell on Xbox or PS2?

I just got my Xbox the other day. It was unexpected (I won it in a competition) and now i'm not sure what platform i wanna get Splinter Cell on.

I was hanging out for the PS2 version because of the new features and levels and stuff(Thanks to PSXE) But now that I got a Xbox so soon I think it might run better on Xbox because it was originally made for it. And I wanna get my greasy mits on it as soon as possible.

Help me with my dilemma?!

BTW Nice new forum, Like it alot. I was 'Kakkarot' before. But dont get into DBZ anymore so it was time for a change.

Personally im waiting till the 14th when the pc release comes out ( if the date hasent changed for the 12th time ). The pc demo was great and if you have a fast system its the way to go.

do you get on with the Xbox controller?

if I couldnt choose between consoles for a game, I would go back to the comfort issue.

if there isnt anything between em, and extra levels arnt turning you on, and you prefere the Xbox controller... then I would get it for the Xbox.

I wouldn't say i "prefer" the Xbox controller. But I DO get on with it fine, Just as well as my DualShock.

Im still not sure, I'm leaning towards Xbox but PS2 has all those extras. And without XboxLive the Xbox version will be lacking.

Anymore opinions?

Oh yeah, Nyedor I have a 1.1GHz Celeron Processor, 256mb of RAM, How would Splinter Cell run on my PC?

Default Controller S

Is it the controller S that you have? It's turning out to be my fave controller ever (with the exception of the black and white buttons, which are just oddly placed ). The size and shape is absolutely perfect for my hands, and the buttons aren't oddly mishaped this time around.

But I agree with Dillon. Wait for the ps2 reviews, see if the port is solid (though it seems like it will be), and if it is, go with comfort, or load times (which is what I would do).

Edit : Don't think about the PC version. Though you can check out the demo, and see for yourself.

Splinter Cell for PC was delayed until Feb 18 . The demo is insanely crisp if you have a sharp PC. My GeForce 4 Ti4200 works wonders on this game.

I'd rent the Xbox version and see for yourself. The game is pretty tough on the Xbox, because of poor checkpoint placements. The PS2 version, while graphically inferior, takes the Xbox version an extra step in terms of gameplay.

why would u say to not think about the PC version? because his PC cant handle it or because u think the PS2/Xbox version will be better?

I'll tell you one thing, PC controls for SC >>>>> PS2/Xbox controls.

Mouse + keyboard = Ownage.
