Nothing groundbreaking has caught my radar. AM looks good, but nothing amazing. Once online console gaming took off I was expecting a little more originality from developers. But I guess that wasn't in the cards. Half the games out or coming soon are sports games or racing games. I think (more close to hoping) that's going to be Rockstar's big announcement... GTA: ONLINE! WOOT! DING! DING! DING! WE HAVE A WINNER! SOUND THE ALARUMS! SOUND THE ALARUMS! WOO! WOO! WOO!

I think PS2 online is going to have great games. I will eventually get it when I buy Amplitude, My Street, and Auto Modellista. I'll say that Xbox Live has a better online setup, but the games are not very good in my opinion. That's why I'm not buying Xbox Live.

I think the ps2 online will really break into its own as a fun gaming option the fall that the ps3 releases, so the choice wont be too hard at that time...

Well....as of right now (All you guys know that I'm nuts for SOCOM) SOCOM is the only game that I have played about 2 hours per night since Aug 26th, 2002 (Launch Date) I have never played a game this much, and no battle is the same. People you play with change everytime. This is the Heart of the PS2 Online right now.
For the future...I have no clue. I have mentioned this before in another topic. What the PS2 needs for online play is no question...the Hard Drive. To have a game, example SOCOM (  ) to have new maps downloaded on to the HDD. It makes any game last even longer. You want extra features from R.E: Network??? More characters, new levels, more weapons??? The HDD is the place to be for online play.The PS2 needs "A" titles, I will mention Gran Turismo 4 (It has been confirmed for Online...I think) But, to add the HDD for it.....damn! Unlimited car downloads....just think of it. The future of the PS2 online depends on what Sony does......a sure 100% way is with the HDD.

A GTA Online version is expected in the future. I think after GTA4 though.
