this was and still is one of the finest action RPG's ever played.

i know that doesnt mean a lot.. it really doesnt, lol.


but it WAS a cool game. I prefered it to Windwaker by far. WW was a cool Game, but for me DC2 was an incredible journey that saved the earth...

what the hell did Link ever do for mankind?

I'm not saying it wasn't a good game. And I do think it was better than the half-baked WW. But it's not a zelda-killer. In fact, I found that it shared little with zelda at all, and was unworthy of any comparison with Zelda.

People will brand things 'x-game-killer' many times, and it just never happens. How many times have we heard 'halo-killer' and 'gta-killer' (and 'zelda-killer') in the last five years, and how many times has it ever concretised? Never. Don't believe the hype.

I havent liked Zelda since the SNES and GB games, which i found challenging and fun. The move to 3d just didnt work for me. I thought the original Dark Cloud was pretty good, but at the time there were a lot of good ps2 games out and it basically slipped through. Then the talk about DC2 was that it improved on the first, so no doubt i could play it. I havent played a ps2 game in almost a year now ...........

You know, I've been contemplating getting this game for years, scale of 1-10, what do you guys think?

It was the hype of it being PS2's "Zelda killer" that made me so hesitant, and I always saw it at the stores, but never heard anything about the gameplay, good or bad, so I just "mehh"-ed it.

I'll bet now I can pick it up pretty cheap used somewhere, so what do you guys think now that it's been in your systems for years?

I rate it a 7 or 8. I really enjoyed it but the golf game will have you going crazy

the fishing was awesome though, that could of been a gam in its own right.

i have to grade it from memory 9/10, just one incredible journey.

but if you want to know why i would grade it 1/10 then you will have to PM me... because i wont say it in public.
