when i read ryan's "help im addicted to..." (blitzball) it made me think about how much i really didnt enjoy FFX. so im curious about which final fantasy games were everyone's least favorites and why.
my least favorites are ffx and ffix because i really didnt care about the characters so i had no real desire to help them in their plight.

Anyway, of all the FF titles I have played, FFIX is my least favorite. It is still a solid title, but I could never relate to the characters that well. There wasn't much emotion, in a real sense. The dialogue always felt forced to me, as if the developers were trying too hard to reach back to the FF roots. |

FFIX, I dug the end though... My favorite is FFVIII... FFX was, I dunno... Good but I would have gave i a low 9 overal.. I dunno, what but it lacked something. I think if blitzball was free roam it would be insane!!

Hmmm... least favorite? Well... I guess that, although it's a VERY unpopular choice with several people here, FFVIII is my least favorite in the series, followed by FFV and the original FF (which just seems dated now, despite the nice makeover it got in FF Origins).
FFVIII, for me, was the epitome of tedium (read: constant spell drawing and player customization via junctioning), and the fun got sucked out of the game early on enough for me that I could no longer stomach playing it to try and enjoy what is arguably the game's best point: its story. As for FFV, although the job system was something new, the story didn't have the appeal that FFIV's or FFVI's did.
