Default Excited about NBA Street Vol. 2?

I think it's called Vol. 2 Anyway are you guys excited? I know I am but one thing that sucks is that the game doesn't support online play. I don't have broadband or the network adapter or a working PS2 but I plan to fix all that and it sucks that people that do have those things won't be able to play online. That was the first thing I thought when I played the first NBA Street "Damn I can't wait for 2, I'm sure it'll have online play!" I guess I was wrong. Anyway what are your guys thoughts

Yeah, I had a lot of fun with NBA Street. I'll probably check it out. It does seem a little odd that EA BIG wouldn't want to try their hand at the online thing though. Sony better rally some support for this Network Adaptor, otherwise I see a quickly sinking ship.

I agree that the game should use the network adapter. I also think the game should use the voice commander from Socom for everyone can talk trash to eashother.

Speaking about the headset, how come no other games have decided to support it too? That's a huge selling point of Xbox Live. Or maybe they can just disable some features if you only have a dial up connection or something.

I kind of wonder about that. I knew Xbox fans would brag about the headset all the time. I hear that SCEI is using the headset in several other games, but I don't see any third party developers using it. Sony should make the headset work for all online games because that will push PS2 online big time. I don't really know any game that the headset wouldn't work well with.

Well, I do compliment M$ here because they did a smart thing. They made it broadband only but that also fixes alot of lag problems and they also I believe made a policy that all Xbox games that supports Xbox Live support the headsets so people are getting their money's worth. They don't have to worry about never using the headset because they'll have the chance to do it with all games.

I'll also say that Sony should have gone Broadband only. Xbox Live is doing fairly well and it's broadband only. I'm wondering if someone metioned to Sony about that when they sent letters to people to be a part of their panel and do surveys for them. I should have told Sony that but I didn't.

Well, I mean I understand why they did it. They did it so that they wouldn't alienate a large part of the market. Unfortunately what difference does it make if you don't even shit out any damn network adapters for that part of the market to buy. I swear you can't find an NA anywhere. Plus by having dial up people it'll slow down the BB guys and that gamertag with Xbox Live is pretty cool because it tells other people how the other person's connection is. To me it just seems like the PS2's online experience looks like it is a big mess. I'll probably wait a little while before I get into the PS2 online game. I won't get Xbox Live until 2 things happen 1) I get broadband and 2) I have a job to pay for a $50 payment.

I'll agree that I don't think I've seen the network adapter anywhere before. I personally don't see why Sony is shipping so few when they allow 56K. I've already heard of enough stories of 56K gamers messing up Broadband during Madden.

I have Broadband but no Xbox Live. Only Capcom vs. SNK 2 E.O. interest me.

I'll say that NBA Street 2 will not come to Xbox Live. It would be PS2 online but it doesn't seem like EA is going to do it

It's not online at all. For any system. And if any system did get it would be PS2 because EA is more buddy buddy with Sony than MS. The last preview I read, I think in EGM or Game Informer, said that there isn't any online support at all.

Damn there's like no one on right now. We need some more people.
