I intend to buy it but haven't yet, and that hasn't really been affected in any way by all the surprises in the game's development. I enjoy FF games even though I'm not a big jRPG fan.

I voted no. I just don't like RPG's. BTW, I don't mean rocket propelled grenades. I like those.

This is weird, I know, but I bought FFXIII and haven't played it yet. Long story but it's sitting at my brother's place. I'll be picking it up on Friday.

I picked it up on the midnight launch (first time I ever did that) and am very pleased, especially with the story. BUT (and an FF should never come with a but) I have to say it lacks that old Final Fantasy feeling so far. Too much was just let go. You should feel like you are dropped into a big world adventure instead of a claustrophobic corridor shooter.

I can always hope it might return a bit with Versus, but Wada has taken SE and thus FF into strange territory. I just hope they listen to fans instead of getting hairbrained notions about taking FFXV in an even more peculiar direction.

The battle system, while fast and wild, is a macromanagement of battle in a situation that is best handled by micromanagement. That's the best way I can describe it. Satisfying, but sacrificing substance for style.

So while it seems counter intuitive to allow nostalgia to effect a score, I'm going to have to agree with Ben's review. I don't expect Arnold's to be much different. I just hope jrpgs don't go extinct because this generation decided to turn its back on them.

I intend to buy it for sure. I want to find out first-hand on the mixed-experience everyone is saying and see it for myself.

At first I had the thought that I would just borrow it from one of my friends till I finish. For some strange reason, I feel like I have to have it in my collection.

Highly doubt I will buy it, not unless it is dirt cheap some time in the future, I may have to rent it though at some time to see if it is worth a purchase.
