OK, I'm going to start this thread with a little story. On another forum I post on me and some peeps were talking about some of the great older game systems and I started to think about the Amiga, and some of the games that vanished with the system. One game in particular got me thinking, it was a cool top-down shooter that had you (and a friend, if you had one) going up against a horde of aliens, Gauntlet style. It was a lot of fun, and even became a FPS when 'Doom-clones' were all the rage. But I couldn't remember the name of the game, or who made it.
Then today I was browsing a few game sites, went to Gamers and they had a preview of Alien Breed 2K4 - a new title in Team 17's classic Amiga series, coming to PS2 in 2004. Alien Breed was the game series that I'd been thinking of only a few days previously. Freaky, huh? Anyway, I was just wondering if anybody else remembers the game, and is looking forward to the new one? |

It is looking very nice, and it's cool to see Team 17 using one of their popular franchises other than Worms. Ever since they came up with the first Worms game they seem to of focused on nothing else. Not that Worms wasn't cool (even if it was pretty much a copy of Scorched Tanks), but Team 17 have other cool titles they could revive.

Looking at the old Amiga screenshots they included in that preview brings back so many memories. If only my Amiga still worked

Woohoo, Gabriel knows what I'm talking about! Respect dude, I was beginning to think I imagined the Amiga
![]() I've got to agree with you on Chaos Engine, that was another cool game and Bitmap Brother's (it's creators, for those of you who don't know) are another cool Amiga company that don't seem to do much anymore, apart from the occasional Z game.. |
