Question MMORPGs

Dose anybody know of any that don't have monthly fees. I used to play Runescape and eventhough the actuall game was pretty weak it was one of the most addicting games I've ever played. I'd really like to play a top quality one without paying $120+ each year.

Well there is a new lineage coming out soon... The first one was free, I don't know if this one will be though...

I think the link is: Lineage II

but if you don't mind throwing down some dough.... The best one out wil be Universal Century, they claim to be able to hold over 160,000 users simutaneously on one server.... Check out that link too, lots of info on it there.

I'm Beta testing Shadowbane! Its sooo kool. The lvl treadmill sucks ****, but its such an awsome game.
Players control everything, building cities, warfar, factions, guilds EVERYTHING.
2 different servers will be totally different worlds and could be almost different games.

IF you want a good MMORPG i suggest you wait. In my opinion MMORPG's suck because of long load times, terrible gameplay, and bad stability. Just wait in the future for someone to make a game where it isnt just slash, loot, sell, buy over and over

The only good coming MMORPGS i now of are planetside, a FPS w/ RPG elements, and star wars galaxies in which the website claims to have plenty of things to do, (mining, building droids, ect)

as most of you know, i love EQ and play it almost religiously, i will say that the load times aren't long when goin from "zone" to "zone" and server crashes are very rare (though they are gonna happen. most computers when left on more then 24 hours start to move slower and slower. i'm amazed that EQ can stay on as long as it does)

i play on the bristlebane server, 60 druid w/ epic

Yeah your way up there, Mav, im considering Shadowbane also, will probably check it out, its not a bad pricepoint, and has been anticipated for years now. Getting a new GeForce 4ti video card to do some more pc gaming this year (doom3 drool)...

I checked out the Lineage II site and it looked pretty cool. I also read a review of the first Lineage on IGN and it said that it's $15 dollars a month. I also checked out a few more games on IGN, but almost all of them made no comments saying if they had monthly fees or not. Oh well... I really want to play a game like one of these but I'm not willing to pay hundreds of dollars in addition to what the game costs just for the ability to play it for the next year or two.

I know this may not fit here but I just saw today that Squaresoft plans to release a new MMORPG game in 2005. I believe it's for the PS2.
