Admittedly ive been waiting on remarks from spam bots concerning the first expansion of DAO called Dragon Age Awakenings. No words yet, but i figure they will maybe give it two purses and a ipad up!!!

Hmmm why not have the forums have new signups posts autosent to moderation where those that past muster can be added after ten days?

Or the first twenty messages from newbie signups need to be MOD ok first?


Oh and on a side note I love Star Trek but they never show how that equation leading to warp travel or at least show a so so hypothesis?

If I had to jump through hoops to post here I probably just wouldn't post here. I'd rather we didn't get so focused on deterring spam bots that we actually make things worse for new users. That's just like the way game publishers are coming up with increasingly terrible DRM systems to deter pirates that just make things worse for the legitimate users.

I haven't actually seen any spam bot posts since Dan worked his magic, so we're still okay at the moment. We get lots registering but they either can't post or mods consistently ban them before they do, which is good enough for me.

lol... seriously? ta! we have been working hard.... this program seems to be hiding the spammers from you guys, but allowing the mods to see them so we can deal with em. last couple of days theres been an epic war on.
ive banned 7 or 8 bots/idiots yesterday from posting the same topic over and over... but its not just me, shirt and cAts been on the case too, many bannings and deleted posts ahoy... its quite polific at the mo
