I've been saying we could use more mods for a while. I'd volunteer, as I'm around here quite a bit. I average 5.91 posts per day.

lol, 7,000 posts...mod status, thats what AK gives you as a long time service award. oh and you have buy AK and Val star trek costumes.... but fair do's, cus when the annual psxe mod party rolls around every other month we just get drunk, dress up and have such a wild time that we cant talk about it, you know... what goes on on tour, stays on tour.

Lol, I know. If someone asked me to do it, I would, but there really isn't much point. Like you said there are many reasons. To be honest it sounds like a pain in the a*s job. Reading everything, even the stuff you don't care about, and banning those bots constantly. It doesn't sound like fun, and that wouldn't make me want to come here. Though, Benny you would make a great mod (I'm surprised you aren't). Arnold should appoint you. You are unbiased, active, and have been here a longer than most to boot. If they were recruiting I'd nominate you.

I wouldn't say that he's unbiased but I believe he's like many of us where we have our biases but we are still very open to hearing the other side of the argument and try to understand it and not try to discredit the information if it is indeed valid. At least, that's how I've seen his replies.

I think pretty much everybody is biased in some way. Obviously being somebody who enjoys the 360 but who is on a forum where it's often considered the 'enemy' I do find myself being one of its (and Microsoft's/Valve's etc.) most vocal defenders here. Also the PS3 suxxors and it's my duty to make that clear to all the sheeple I imagine that in Shak's brave new forum he'd still want people able to see his posts, so IP bans would be out. Then we could still visit and read, unshackled by the burden of posting and able to bask in his fairness.

If a mod, were to find out that I am in fact the most sophisticated spam bot of all time, and I was IP banned, I'd just use a proxy and become mackid1994. Bans are pointless because they are so easy to get around. Just make a new account and use a proxy. The only real way to keep someone from posting is to get Devil Kitty on they a*s!
