You want to put the PS3 on top of your 52 tv? I have a 50inch Hitachi rear projection TV, and my Xbox 360 will never see any game play on it. Older TV projector models have some really bad burn in that results in games being played on them. You could risk it, but I wouldn't.
Even though I got this TV for $0, until I can get a TV for movies (50inches + HD/HDMI/1080p) and a 42inch HD/HDMI/1080p TV for games only, I'm happy with my reg 32inch JVC for the 360.
