Get that lunch money ready
PS3 will be hot the next holiday for 4 reasons:
- Its the first holiday season PS3 is out in Europe
- The US market wasn't satisfied during the short supplies for the 2006 holidays, so that will spill over into the 2007 PS3 demand
- Finally some more good games
- The 2005 and 2006 season were all about HDTVs, so you got all these people with shiny new HDTV screens and they won't want to settle for the fairly poor quality of DVDs. That means one thing, in 2007 those people will want HD players, and PS3's Blu-Ray is still going to be the best deal in town even at $500 or $600.
If its hot, there is no reason for them to drop the price yet.
Plus, Xbox 360 price didn't drop after 1 year and Sony has been extremely tight with price reductions on the PSP, and a price reduction is definitely warranted for the PSP especially with the low cost of Nintendo portables.
