aliens coming to earth from another planet is extremely improbable. for one reason, the trip would be so long, they would have to bring whole viable populations to survive the trip. it would take generations since even traveling the speed of light would take a long time to get here from any of the known extra-solar planets. travel at the speed of light or faster is impossible since the faster you go, the heavier you get, and at the speed of light you would have infinite mass, and it would therefore take infinite energy to propel you. this is obviously not possible, and therefore the trip would be a long one. since they would be cooped up on there spaceships for so long, the first thing they would want to do upon arrival would be to land and strech their legs, providing they have any. also, the two things that happen when two cultures come into contact are trade and genocide. since i'm not using any alien technology (that i'm aware of) and there hasn't been an alien-people war, i'm guessing aliens have not visited Earth.
