Reproduction has nothing to do with marriage....you don't get married so you can have kids...you get married because you are saying that this person is who you want to spend the rest of your life with.
I will say though that I think since gay couples won't have that natural bonding experience that happens with going through a childbirth together....their chances of divorce are probably higher....in the longrun. Sure they can adopt...but a gay couple having a child might just cause more problems for them....depending on where they live in the states....
