Well, I've done some work in a tuner/drifter shop, and a 240 SX is a double-edged sword in my opinion.

Personaly, I think the style and look of the considerably older (by today's standards) car is just awesome. Looks great, and if you're into upgrading and drifting crap ( not talking about 4 foot aluminum wings on a Dodge Neon ) then a 240 is a nice buy for $3000 area, with those circumstances listed.

However, with the mileage you have, the pistons tend to go out, and they're a bitch to repair/replace. Get ready for some serious maintanence work.

I personaly drive a 94 Honda Accord EX as my daily driver, and the car is just spectacular for the price ($4000 area) and quality. Honda's are great, with the mileage at about 85-90 k, just replace the timing belt and you're good to go another 50 k no question. Next to my 5th Gen Prelude, this car is one of my favorites that I have driven because its newer-ish, reliable, and yes you can put a wing on em if you want to get made fun of.
