I think a good.. nay brilliant film director could make a damn fine game from a film...

but I don't think they can make a good film out of a game.

if QT could work with RockStar.. it would be a pretty amazing game, but to copy a game for a film.. you already have the players memory of what the game was to compete with, best give the public something new.

no film tie-in either way has ever worked. we can say that Mortal Kombat or Resi Evil were 'okay' but really... i mean REALLY?

I think there isn't a film out there where you could honestly say was worth it. the Matrix really could of worked in a console game, if they delivered everything they bullshitted about. I sat there and watched the 'making of the Matrix game' I saw and heard Will Smith's bird banging on about what it was about and the bridge between this film and the next... when Neo is in the room with blah blah, Ghost will be doing this and so on... bollocks. it was all BS in order that we pay top dollar for the game.. and we did, or at least I did.

I think they need guest directors on games, working for Capcom or Rockstar or Konami... but I think its been proven through lack of imagination that making films from games is pants and making games from film even more pants, and its becomes far to linear.

er... that's all imo of course
