X-Men wasn't very close to the original either. Spider-Man was 95% spot on, while X-Men was around 50%, and DareDevil was 40%. Spider-Man was a MUCH better developed movie than either of the two. Peter Parker never had web-cartidges. In the original comic book published way back when, Spidey gained the superhuman ability to shoot web from his wrists. Later on in the 80s, it was remixed a little bit, and Parker created cartridges.

You do not understand how practically flawless Spider-Man was in terms of comic book comparison. There was perhaps one or two MINOR nuisances in the plot, but damn me if I wasn't amazed at how precise the movie turned out. I can guarantee that The Hulk will suffer the same fate. It will not stay true to the comic book origin.
