Pretty good movie, the critics were too harsh with it. The problem with it was the cheesy dialogue between Electra and Matt. "Stay with me...please", being repeated in this overly emotional tone really made me cringe from sheer pretentiousness. While the dialogue was a bit too full of itself, unlike Spider-Man's very warm and better executed speech, the action sequences and the special effects (including the sight through the eyes of Matt Murdock, the DareDevil himself) were quite exciting. Though, the lighting during some action portions of the movie were a bit too dark to really be able to notice what was going on. Also, the playground fight-scene with Jennifer Garner was laughable, and induced another one of those cringing moments.
DareDevil was able to regain itself because of its action, and Affleck's appreciable role as the man of justice. If you can look past some of the cheesy dialogue and forget about that stupid playground fight-scene, you'll enjoy DareDevil. The movie is a good pop-corn flick, though definitely not of the same caliber as Spider-Man.
