It generally means the club in administration owes money it doesn't have to people they have borrowed it off or haven't paid back when they were due to, e.g. if a club has loaned x amount of money from a company but spends all that money on players and isn't making enough profit to pay them back they can go into administration. It's more complex than that, but the whole thing is a very big process involving a lot of accountants and lawyers lol.
Having gone through an administration period with Wrexham (which I might add was due to the dodgy dealings of our then chairman who wanted to sell our ground for property development), I can tell you it's not very nice at all, the league can deduct you points or kick you out (depending on which league/country you are in) and when the club is in such an awful financial position there is always the threat of the club possibly shutting down; and even if they don't a ten points deduction could easily see your team relegated.
*ahem* anyway back to Villa, I don't O'Neill would let Barry go to be honest, well at least I'm hoping not!

I think Barry enjoys being captain and loves the club too much to just leave when we are improving by the season and the fee that Liverpool are apparently willing to offer is a f***ing joke, scuse my french.
As for Mr. O'Neill, he is doing wonders at Villa Park, just wish he would buy us a bloody right back!
Don't think Messi is fit, but don't hold me to that as he's been out awhile and is probably due to come back at some point before the season ends. Let's just hope you can get a few away goals at Nou Camp and you will be laughing!
