From the word go I have been dubious of the enjoyment which can be taken from playing the Wii, The idea of jumping about and waving my arms about resulting in too much embarassment.
I still haven't played the Wii but I have had a chance to try out the PS3 eye toy and despite a moments hesitation I rolled up my sleeves and got stuck in. The game I tested remains nameless to me but it's the one where you have to guide the ball round the course by moving the floor blocks.
I quickly got past the feelings of stupidity at waving my hands in thin air and before I was half way through the second level I was beginning to enjoy myself. It might help that I beat DK's score and left him a two finger snapshot to remember me by

.
I still don't think I could play the Wii with people I didn't know, nor would I bring myself to play those slightly stupid mini games like pumping the balloon or masturbating the champaigne bottle (That's what it looks like!) but when it comes to the boxing/golfing titles I think maybe now I can wrap my head round the possibilty, nay, probability of fun.
