Hmm... After reading a few reviews praising the solo campaign I'm slightly more interested in this. The general impression seems to be that it's a wonderfully scripted collection of set pieces in a short campaign, with much more longevity at the higher difficulty levels. I found Rainbow Six: Vegas enjoyable enough in the single player (though a pain to complete at Realistic difficulty) to justify a purchase even without playing it online.
Is the splitscreen option part of the campaign? A brief scan through the pics and discussions didn't immediately answer that, and as I've mentioned in this very thread co-op multiplayer is a big draw for me.
