im a bit torn on the issue myself as far as to which model i'll end up buying eventually...since my PS2 has been broken for well over a year now, i've been itchin' for some console gaming...and considering i've yet to finish (ie FFXII) or even play (God of War II, Okami) some PS2 games, the fading/lack of support for BC is definitely depressing.

i could buy a used PS2 for now, but there are also some next-gen games I really, really want to play in the next few months. But just short of being "forced" to pony up the $$ for the remaining 60 gig stock - as far as BC is concerned and considering that the newer, cheaper models don't support that anymore - it's getting harder every day to justify its purchase.
