Yes actually you are correct. Almost everything that a CPU has to process can be/is called AI. From the processing that a CPU does for clicking a button to something you can never imagine.
But a CPU doesn't know what to do, it's the developer's job to "teach" it.
Like on the forum for example, each button has different functionality. It's the programmers' job to tell each button what its job is etc...
