no, i think you will love VF5 on the 360 when it comes out, and find it as deep as VF4: Evo was...

my main love for VF games was VF4, not Evo. imo Evo destroyed all that was promising on VF games. the whole AI bit was amazing until they decided to have a better looking game to compete with Tekken rather than have something unique.

for me, and most of my mates who practice martial arts, Tekkens at least tries to be real in terms of better martial art styles, having each button represent a limb... goes a long way when you see the styles they use, rather than the over numbered wrestlers of VF games. (not that Tekken has a fair few!) but like Lei and his five animal styles as well as drunken fist, or Feng with Chinese Kenpo or Law with Jeet Kuen Do and then my fav is Xiaoyu who does internal arts (which i do ) ...all more correct interpretations than VF's fighting styles.

Only having one button for kick and one for punch is very limiting in terms of fighting, hence my comment on being arcadey. obviously VF games dont 'lack' depth, but for me and many other people, we just want more.
but this is where i get anal.. because if say you have never done or even followed martial arts in anyway... none of this matters.. not one iota.

thats when it all comes down to what you prefer to play.. and form the boards ive seen, most do actually prefer VF games to tekken, Sega's grasp on giving you a flawless fighting game that keeps you coming back for more is second to none.

its just when youre looking for flaws, you start to see the cracks.

but this is my point, this is all imo... it really means jack when it comes to fighting games as we all like games for different reasons.

if i was to design a new fighting gamne, it would be very very different from the games you see today, but out of Tkn and VF.. it probably would be more like Tekken than anything else. and yes, it probably would be THE most boring fighting game on earth, lol.. thats why Tekken and VF games will always try to hang on to that arcade feel...

so, dont get me wrong... you will love VF5!!

EDIT:

100% agree DK.. I HATE the juggling
