Jack had lost it mentally,his father isnt alive.He's was drinking,taking pills and going crazy about finding some way back on the island.
The doctors in the hospital gave him odd looks when he mentioned to go speak to his father about his drinking.
I'm pretty excited about the flash foward myself,I cant wait to find out what all went down when these other people came to the island after Ben and Locke tried to prevent it.
We know these characters pretty well from all the flash backs so I'm ready for some change.I also dont see why they wont show stuff on the island,you can have it set in the future and have them have flashbacks of what went down on the island,instead of flashbacks of them before they crashed.
We have no clue where its going to go from here,how many people got off alive with Jack and Kate,etc etc.
Cant wait till Jan/Feb.
