I wasn't surprised by that at all. It was really a no win situation for Tito. If he won, big deal, he beat up the old owner of the promotion. If he lost, then he got beat by the old owner of a promotion. I think he expected it to be a smaller, private deal between the two and when it turned into something bigger he got scared off. Dana was a pretty decent amature boxer (and remember this deal was a boxing match, not a MMA fight. Tito's standup isn't the greatest) and when he trained Tito back in the day he used to whoop his ass all the time in standup. I knew before I watched the special that the fight wasn't happening, so I didn't feel cheated, and found the special itself to be kinda fascinating from that perspective.

Loving TUF5 so far. By far the most entertaining season ever, and I loved that gigantic brawl. The guys in the house this year are ****ing INSANE, and it's a welcome change from the boredom that was last season. I wouldn't want to live there with them, but damned if I don't love watching it.

As for last nights PPV, top to bottom that might have been the best UFC show I've ever seen. Every single fight was awesome. I'm not surprised at all by the Rampage win, I actually predicted it a while back (I think when I was talking to Ryan, but maybe not). I think his style of fighting is just poorly suited for Chuck, and I don't think Chuck was at his best. He was looking pretty worn out from all the interviews and press he's been getting this week (It's crazy as hell to see UFC as one of the top stories on ESPN, good for them). I like Chuck, but I LOVE Rampage so I was pretty pumped to see him win. Dude is hilarious, in addition to being a great fighter. I hope he becomes a huge star for them. Big upset of the night was Jardine getting knocked out by Alexander, who I'd honest to god never heard of. Pretty awesome moment, but definitely a surprise. I don't really love Jardine, but he's a really good fighter. I think he'd have probably been in line for a title shot at some point in the near future had he and Chuck not both lost.

I'm really pumped for the PRIDE/UFC super-show they seem to be setting up with Henderson coming out at the end of the show. That'll be a fun one if it actually happens.
