It's an LCD.

Almost all LCD's today have the technology to upscale to 1080p from 1080i. 1080i technically speaking isn't viewable on an LCD. It wouldn't make sense for an LCD to have an interlaced image.

True 1080p is not supported on your LCD TV as Arnold stated.
