Firstly Goten you have a shit load of new age games. If you consider Tekken 3 important because you played this game for hours doesn't mean shit. Many games get 10's it doesn't deserve the list. The article refers to games that paved the road, no way in hell did Tekken 3 do that. More like Virtua Fighter did that.
“Creating this list is an assertion that digital games have a cultural significance and a historical significance,”
Tekken 3, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Devil May Cry 1/3, and half the other games you mentioned in know way have as great of as big of a significant culture as any game Arnold mentioned including Tetris. Tetris is more important than any game you mentioned.
There have been whole show on History and Discovery or one of them i forget made for Tetris describing it's popularity and historical/cultural background.
I'm not trying to be flaming Goten but even in your opinion you did not give good reasons for your most important games.
Secondly Darth Koth, there were no other platforms before Super Mario Bros 3 that were better if you can name me one then i will agree with your comment. Super Mario Bros 3 was the best platform of its time and of anything before it, hell it's one of the greatest platforms out today still.
And Thirdly Arnold, the article was excellent and on point, I don't think you made the list but for the most part i agree with the list. The only game i felt was missing is Sonic The Hedgehog (Sonic 1) instead of Sensible World of Soccer for example. But other then that great article.
