but I never saved!!!

feeling cocky i took on a turkey, it was a normal turkey, nothing unusual.. but this lil f**ker wouldnt die, and he wouldnt just forget i pissed him off. no, when i ran, he ran after me.. and one by one he killed us off.. untill it was me (Vaan) and the turkey, i couldnt get back to the crystal and i pegged it!

lost everything.

and that is why i raced through the next bit and now im now unprepared!!

no excuse.. I might just try and get back on level i think!! (insert disappoint smiley shaking his lil stupid face)
How do you know it was just a "normal turkey?" Are you sure it wasn't an optional enemy that you angered? They often look exactly like the other regular enemies...and if I remember correctly, there is a particularly tough Cockatrice out there in the sands. It may have been a Hunt, but I don't remember now.

That's one thing you have to look out for, though. All kinds of extremely dangerous enemies roam the lands, and if you don't save frequently, you can get decimated without knowing what happened. It's a good idea to have Libra on all the time so you can see what Lv. and how much HP each enemy has.

For example, Elementals tend to show up in outdoor areas where the weather is nasty (raining, snowing, sandstorm, etc.), and if you use ANY magic in their vicinity, they will attack you. In other words, even if you can Cure on yourself when within sight of an Elemental, it'll turn from neutral to aggressive. And they range from Lv. 25 to 45, so until you're a long way into the game, you HAVE to avoid them completely. It's just one of a few things you need to be wary of...
